Help us bring a show to life by sponsoring or co-sponsoring a specific production of your choice. Your contribution will allow us to develop original or commissioned work, engage exciting artists, or make special investments in the creative capacity of the production. This opportunity provides maximum visibility for the sponsoring individual/organization. Benefits vary based on your level of donation commitment – exclusivity rights are available at the $25,000 level.
Introduced in Season 20, our “Inside the Rep” lecture series offers participants a unique opportunity to hear from ensemble members, guest artists, and creative team members, plus other behind-the-scene opportunities. Sponsorship helps cover costs of refreshments (wine & appetizers) and other expenses related to the presentation. Benefits include recognition on invitations, verbal acknowledgment at the event, plus “Benefactor” donor level benefits.
Help us celebrate the opening night of our Mainstage (Arcade Theatre) productions at our VIP champagne reception held the hour before the start of the show. Your contribution will also help cover food and drink costs for our opening night cast party held immediately following the show. Individual production sponsors receive 4 complimentary tickets to the opening night performance, VIP recognition signage during the pre-show reception, and will be invited to the cast party. Full season sponsors enjoy these benefits plus general benefits associated with the level of your donation commitment.
Help us provide a barrier-free theatre-going experience for visually and hearing impaired patrons by sponsoring audio-described and signed performances. Your contribution will help cover costs of sign interpreters and audio describers plus associated customer service training for our staff and volunteers. Florida Rep strives to offer a minimum of one signed and one audio-described performance per production. General sponsor benefits apply based on level of donation commitment.
Help Florida Rep be part of the Blue Stars Theater program, which is dedicated to offering discount admission to active military personnel and their families, and veterans. Your contribution of $5,000 or more will help us continue this program in Season 26. General sponsorship benefits apply based on level of donation commitment.
PlayLab is an action-packed, four-day festival held each spring that showcases new plays and new voices in the American Theatre and gives playwrights the opportunity to workshop their plays with actors, directors, and designers in front of a live audience. Opportunities include grand sponsorship, individual reading sponsors, and hospitality sponsors to assist with our housing and travel expenses for guest artists. The festival offers unique recognition opportunities based on sponsorship level as well as general benefits associated with the level of your donation commitment. Grand sponsorship begins at $20,000.
Each season, approximately 20 young artists get their first taste of employment through internships at Florida Rep. Interns have recently graduated from a higher education theatre arts program and come to us from schools across the U.S. Interns fulfill roles on the stage and in production, costume, lighting, sound, marketing, company management, and education. Your contribution will help cover costs of housing and stipends, plus ensure valuable, professional opportunities for our future leaders in American theatre. As a sponsor, you will get to meet with the intern over the season to learn about their role, background, and aspirations. General benefits apply based on level of commitment.
Florida Rep Education Programming
Florida Rep is dedicated to cultivating an appreciation of the arts among the youth in our community through live theatre programming designed to educate, excite, and enlighten participants. Our education program offerings include Theatre for Young Audiences touring and lunchbox presentations, performing arts classes, Conservatory live theatre productions, the Tech Theatre program, and youth performing arts camps. There are a number of opportunities to support our education initiatives, including:
When you make a philanthropic commitment of $10,000 or more, your name will be noted in signage, Playbill, and website pages dedicated to Grand Season Sponsorship. You will also receive benefits associated with the level of your fund commitment PLUS recognition in education-related print collateral (brochures/show programs) and on the Florida Rep education website.
Each season, our Theatre for Young Audiences touring programs reaches over 25,000 students in elementary, middle, and high schools throughout Southwest Florida. School groups also come to Florida Rep for lunchbox presentations of our touring productions. These productions are performed by our acting interns and include post-performance talkbacks or workshops. Expenses vary depending on the number of tours requested; therefore, a minimum sponsor contribution of $5,000 is suggested. Sponsor benefits include recognition on the title page of children’s show Playbill, on-site promotional posters and lobby displays, web and print collateral materials related to the show, complimentary tickets to the theatre performance (ticket quantity and additional general sponsorship benefits are based on level of donation commitment).
Florida Rep’s audition-required Conservatory theatre program highlights some of the area’s most skilled young performers, many of whom hope to pursue theatre training after graduating from high school. Expenses vary depending on the production, and therefore a minimum sponsor contribution of $5,000 is suggested. Grand Conservatory sponsorship starts at $10,000. Sponsor/donor benefits include your name/logo appearing on the production program, on Florida Rep’s education website, recognition during the pre-show curtain speech, and complimentary tickets to the sponsored production (ticket quantity and additional general benefits are based on level of donation commitment).
Youth throughout Southwest Florida have the opportunity to register for Florida Rep’s theatre education classes and camps. Contributions to our scholarship program help make these special education programs accessible to families who may not have the means to cover registration fees. $100 will open access for one student to attend a six-week class. $500 will open access for one child to participate in a camp. Donor benefits apply based on level of donation commitment.
