About the Role: The Stage Management Intern will work with the Production Manager and Production Stage Managers in the pre-production process, setup of rehearsal spaces, running of the rehearsal, and working backstage as either a crew member or ASM for any production that you are assigned. During the rehearsal and show process, the Stage Management Intern will maintain stage management paperwork and rehearsal items as necessary and as assigned. This intern will be exposed to guest artists and designers in a collaborative and professional environment. The intern will gain a well-rounded theatre experience and will familiarize themselves with our two performance venues (The Historic Arcade Theatre, 393 seat proscenium & The Artstage Studio Theatre, 125 seats).
About You: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Basic Assistant Stage Management and Stage Management knowledge
- Applicants must be hard-working, self-motivated, and independent
- Problem-solve under pressure
About the Position: Work Hours/Salary
- 35-75 hours a week with an average of 40 hours a week
- The minimum take-home of $200 a week and eligible for overtime
- Salary is inclusive of furnished housing
- August 2024 – May 31, 2025
