Assistant Master Electrician

About the Role: The Assistant Master Electrician helps support every production by assisting the Master Electrician in facilitating the lighting designer’s vision in a clean, safe, and professional environment. The duties of the Master Electrician include but are not limited to the following:

Serve on running crew for productions if needed;
Provide support for special events and company projects as needed;
Assist in realizing the intent of all lighting and video designs.
Assist in creating all paperwork needed to support designs.
Assist with installation and focus for all productions.
Attend rehearsals, calls, and/or meetings as required.
Assist with installation, and focus for all productions.
Assist with maintaining lighting inventory.
Participate in load-in and strike
Keep lighting spaces and storage areas in good clean and working order
Assist other departments as necessary to execute the technical elements of shows.
Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to all THEATRE safety standards
Perform other related duties and assignments, as necessary.

About You: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Color theory
Lighting Board programing
Problem-solve under pressure
Manual dexterity and ability to work at heights over 20’ (able to lift to 50lbs)
Skills with:
Vectorworks
Lightwright
ETC Dimmer Systems
Power distribution

About the Position: Work Hours/ Salary

Year round; 35 to 75 hours a week, averaging 40 hours a week for the year
$725 a week salary
Supplemented housing may be available based on the availability
