Victoria Casella
is thrilled to be back for her 10th season with Florida Rep! This past season she musical directed (MD) a Pride Concert for New York City Opera at The Milford Theater and Performing Arts Center. Other MD projects were Beehive (Florida Repertory Theatre), Master Class and The Fantasticks for Bergen County Players. This past season, she also presented Where the Time Goes at the Dramatists Guild (NYC), a ‘60s musical where she co-wrote the book and did the musical arrangements. It was first premiered at Florida Rep PlayLab 2019. Previously, she was MD/Arranger for Night and Day: Love Lost and Found Through the Eyes of Cole Porter at Elmwood Playhouse where she won a Broadway World Award for Best Musical Direction and Orchestra. In fall ’21 she was MD/Arranger for Let’s Fall In Love at Florida Repertory Theatre (FL REP). She MD’d Elliot & Me, a new musical about the life and times of famed songwriter Elliot Willensky for Hudson Theatre Works and also streamed for Laguna Playhouse and Sonoma Arts Theatre. Previously she was MD for A Gentleman’s Guide To Love and Murder at FL REP and MD/Arranger for “The Green Crow Caws” at the Irish Repertory Theatre, NYC. She was also awarded Broadway World Best Musical Direction for Regional Theater (Fort Myers/Naples, Florida) for her work on Night and Day at FL REP.
