Marvin Bell

is excited to be making his Florida Rep. debut in Morning After Grace. Originally from St. Louis, Mo., Marvin Bell began his entertainment career in 1982 as a stand-up comedian. He performed his comedy for some thirty-five years in forty-eight states, Caribbean Islands, at colleges, on cruise ships, in comedy clubs, and at the resort hotels of the Catskills and Pocono mountains. After moving to New York City in 1994, Marvin Bell began to turn his focus toward acting, landing roles in short videos and a few student films. In 2012, after landing a role in a small production of Paul Rudnick’s Regrets Only, Marvin’s passion for the stage became overwhelming so he began to assert the bulk of his efforts in that direction. His next endeavor was a regional theater production of Alfred Uhry’s Driving Miss Daisy which earned him a Broadway World nomination for best-featured actor in a play. He has since reprised the role three times. In addition, Marvin Bell has appeared in four August Wilson productions, most recently as Elder Joseph Barlow in Radio Golf at the Gulfshore Playhouse. He was Holloway in Two Trains Running at Triad Stage just before COVID shut down the world. In addition to his stage work, Marvin Bell has been seen on the small screen in episodes of Law and Order; SVU for NBC, and Daredevil on Netflix.
