Jeanette M. Meade

In 2019 I relocated from Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin to Fort Myers, Florida. I was born in Portage, Wisconsin, and attended Portage Turner High School. I then graduated in 1981 with honors. I moved to Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin in early 1990, where I raised my two sons, and began my entrepreneurial career.
At present, I live in Fort Myers, Florida the community of Gulf Harbour Yacht and County Club. I am very social, and involved in many groups, Vintner Club, book club, Foodies, and Women With Spirit. Women With Spirit is a group that provides support to local causes in the area. In January I was honored by being selected as their president.
I began my business relationship with my partner in 1989. It was a small rural independent auto dealership. We began financing the auto sales, this resulted in developing a finance company. We then built a Goodyear tire service center, a CarQuest Auto Parts store, and a warranty company. We also developed real estate and owned a small aviation company. My roles in building these companies were many, corporate officer, CFO, managing and training collections, legal, and administration. I retired after 27 years at the helm with five independent dealerships, a finance company in excess of $26k. We were chosen used car dealer of the year by the Wisconsin Automobile and Truck Dealer Association.
I like to travel, read, cook, crochet, collect fine wines, and spend quality time with my family and friends. Theater and arts are my passion.
