A Night of Sinister Songs: Music Director

is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island where she received a B.F.A. in Acting and Theatre Management, and a Music Minor in Vocal Performance. She is a professional singer, actress, and voice actress, and a music director and teaching artist. Some of her favorite past roles include Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins), Anne (A Little Night Music), Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute), and Radio Announcer/Zuzu (It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play).

As Music Director her most recent productions include, Little Shop of Horrors (Florida Repertory Theatre Conservatory)Fame The Musical (Florida Repertory Theatre Conservatory), Ella Enchanted (Florida Rep Education TYA), Elephant & Piggie’s: We Are In A Play (Florida Rep Education TYA), The Rocky Horror Show (University of Rhode Island), Carrie the Musical (White Heron Theatre Student Company), Violet (Providence College), Carrie the Musical (Academy Players of RI) and The Rocky Horror Show (OUT LOUD Theatre – RI Motif Theatre Award Winner – Best Musical Direction 2019).

Emily loves working with students of all ages and has worked as a teaching artist for both the Providence Performing Art Center Disney Musicals in Schools Program, and the Sandra Feinstein Gamm Theatre’s Education Department. Specializing in Musical Theatre, she has taught classes on auditioning, vocal technique, how to prepare for a role, and more. In her spare time Emily enjoys composing music and spending time with her family, friends, and Golden Retriever, Cody.

Regional theatre credits include: The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre: It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play in association with The Public’s Radio (Announcer/Zuzu), Assassins (Associate Music Director/Pianist/Ensemble), It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play (Announcer/Zuzu), Encore Opera Company: The Magic Flute (Queen of the Night), Marley Bridges Theatre Company: Newport Murder Mystery (Company Member), TEN31 Productions: Company Member. University of Rhode Island credits include: Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins – RI Motif Theatre Award Winner – Best Female Performance 2018), Lady Windermere’s Fan (Lady Windermere), A Little Night Music (Anne), The Trojan Women (Andromache), Spring Awakening (Anna), Legally Blonde: The Musical (Kate/Judge).
