Janice Danzig

Chair

Janice Danzig, a Fort Myers resident since 1978, has served on the Florida Repertory Theatre’s Board of Directors for twelve years and has been involved with the organization since its inception in 1998. Previously, Danzig sat on the board for the City of Fort Myers department of arts and cultural affairs which oversaw the renovations of the Arcade Theatre in 1991. During that time period, she also served as the chair of a downtown Fort Myers arts festival featuring world-class music and dance which operated an active education program and utilized the Arcade Theatre space among other area locations. Danzig has also served as a volunteer at the South County Library and at the Baker Museum of Art in Naples.

Originally from Boston, Janice’s love of performing arts was inspired by her mother, who loved to sing along to show tunes. Danzig became officially “hooked” after seeing her first Broadway show, “Mame.”
