A delightful holiday comedy presented by the Florida Repertory Theatre is bringing laughs and a twist to a Christmas classic.

“The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge” is set a year after Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” The comedy by Mark Brown is set in a courtroom where Ebenezer Scrooge is suing Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future.

The plot is tailored to be a surprising twist with laughs and flashbacks to the original classic.

“The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge” is being shown in the Historic Arcade Theatre until Dec. 21, with tickets starting at $69 for adults ($15 for students). The Florida Repertory Theatre is also offering a family deal for $150 that includes tickets for two adults, two children and two complimentary house concession items.

Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here or by calling the theatre’s box office at (239)332-4488 or toll-free at (877)787-8053. Those wanting to purchase the family deal can call the box office.
