About the Playwright
As a writer, Mark is the author of the Off-Broadway hit comedy, The Dingdong: Or How The French Kiss and A Merry Little Christmas Carol (both produced by Florida Rep), as well as the stage adaptation of The Chronology Protection Case (Edgar Award nominee). He is the playwright and director of the highly acclaimed White Heron Radio Theatre Ghost Light Series (found on NPR’s WNCK, Spotify, iTunes, and other major audio platforms), featuring original radio drama performed by renowned Broadway actors. As a performer on the New York stage, Mark has appeared in Broadway’s The 39 Steps and Philadelphia, Here I Come! and Off Broadway in Tryst, Small World, The Shaughraun, Checkers, As Bees In Honey Drown, and more. He has performed on numerous regional stages including The Alley Theatre, The Pioneer, The Fulton Opera House, The Kennedy Center, The Denver Centre, Hartford Theatreworks, and others. As a director, his work has been seen nationally at such theatres as The Alley, Virginia Stage, Mile Square Theatre, White Heron Theatre, Theatre Squared, Florida Rep, Florida Studio Theatre, Penguin Rep, The Westport Country Playhouse, Merrimack Rep, Orlando Shakespeare Festival, The Cape Playhouse, and others. Mark is a graduate of Brown University (BA) and Fordham University (MA), where he has served as a faculty member for 18 years.
