As we monitor the ever-changing situation surrounding COVID-19 and public health, your well-being and safety are our chief concern. Given the increase in cases across Southwest Florida and around the country, it is becoming increasingly clear that we will not be able to open as planned this September with Irving Berlin’s I Love a Piano in the ArtStage Studio Theatre. While we are not able to bring audiences together in the fall, we are working on plans for virtual offerings and our eventual return to the stage.

We are in the business of gathering to celebrate the performing arts and sharing a collective cultural experience, but sadly it is not yet safe for us to come together. Our team is working closely with our various professional unions and local health experts to come up with a plan for the 2020-2021 Season that is realistic and that keeps staff, artists, volunteers, and you safe.

When we have concrete plans in place, we will be in touch with ticket holders to make arrangements for each of you. We so appreciate your patience with us as we navigate these uncertain times. No matter what, we want to thank you for your support during this prolonged intermission. In the meantime, you can support Florida Rep in many ways. Connect with us every Friday as we rerun our popular Stage@Home Virtual Talkback Series, watch our Education Department’s 2020 production of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night on-demand, or consider making a donation to help us get through this difficult time.

We will be in touch soon to tell you about our plans for 2020-2021. We cannot wait to see you at the theatre again soon.

Sincerely,
Your Florida Rep Family
