What is Florida Repertory Theatre?
Florida Rep is a professional, Equity Theatre company located in the heart of Downtown Fort Myers.
Where is Florida Repertory Theatre?
Both of our theatres, the 393 seat proscenium Historic Arcade Theatre and our intimate 120 seat ArtStage Studio Theatre, are located in the heart of the Downtown Fort Myers River District. Our GPS address is 2268 Bay Street. You can park directly across the street—for free—up to two hours before your show begins. There is also a pedestrian entrance from First Street under the Arcade Theatre marquee.
So this isn’t actually an Arcade with like, games and stuff?
No, it is not. We are a theatre. “Arcade” is an architectural term referring to a covered passageway with arches along one or both sides. Both of are theatres are located in an Arcade building that offers clearance to the other side of the street, which is why we call our proscenium theatre the Arcade theatre. But you can still have a great time here, like you would at a video game arcade!
What are your box office hours?
Our box office is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On performance days, the box office opens two hours before curtain.
What are your show times?
Our typical performance schedule runs Tuesday–Sunday. Times vary depending on day and show. Tuesday–Thursday performances are at 7:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m. Performances in the Arcade Theatre have a Wednesday matinee at 2:00 p.m. and performances in the ArtStage Studio have a Thursday matinee at 2:00 p.m. Check out our calendar for specific times-all times and dates are subject to change.
Are all of your shows families friendly?
Please call our box office at (239) 332-4488 with questions about a specific show. We do our best to indicate any adult themes or languages on our posters, advertisements, and lobby displays.
Is your theatre handicap accessible?
Yes, our theatre is accessible for those in wheelchairs and walkers. Wheelchair seating is available for all of our shows in the Arcade Theatre and the ArtStage Studio Theatre. Also, for our patrons that are hard of hearing, we offer Hearing Loop aids. Also, check our performance schedule for the Arcade shows with ASL interpreters and Audio Descriptions.
