Florida Rep is seeing submissions for the following roles and for understudy and swing opportunities. For pre-cast roles, auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary.
STAGE MANAGERS: Florida Repertory Theatre is accepting submissions for Stage Managers and Assistant Stage Managers open positions throughout the season. Please send a resume to THIS ADDRESS with “2025 STAGE MANAGER SUBMISSION” in the subject line. STAGE MANAGER resumes will also be accepted as possible replacements for unexpected vacancies as the season progresses.

2025-2026 SEASON BREAKDOWNS
RAT PACK LOUNGE by James Hindman & Ray Roderick; Musical Arrangements by John Glaudini. Dir/Choreographer: Michael Marotta. Music Dir: TBA. 1st reh: 09/09/2025. Runs: 09/30/2025 – 11/09/2025. Possible Extension: 11/23/2025. In the ArtStage Studio Theatre.
Note: The premise of the show is that Frank, Dean and Sammy come back to earth and inhabit the bodies of living people. Therefore, none of the actors need to look anything like our stars, they just need to embody their essence.
VIC CANDELINO: Down on his luck owner of Vic’s Place. When Vic was a kid, Frank told him he would ‘one day be a star.’ He is now bankrupt and ready to throw in the towel.
BOBBY GOLDBERG/SAMMY DAVIS, JR.: The bartender at Vic’s Place, Bobby has known Vic since he was a kid. Energetic and caring. His body is taken over by Sammy Davis Jr.
WILLIAM SAUNDERS/FRANK SINATRA: Real estate developer who wants to demolish Vic’s Place and build a parking lot for the Hooters next door. His body is taken over by Frank Sinatra.
KATHERINE KERR/ANGIE: Mr. Saunders’ secretary. Very type A. Her body is taken over by Angie – An angel sent from above who uses her feminine wiles to influence men.
JEORGE RODRIGUES/DEAN MARTIN: Easy going guy. English is a second language. He loves the Rat Pack. His body is taken over by Dean Martin.
DOUBT, A PARABLE by John Patrick Shanley. Dir: Chris Clavelli. 1st Reh: 10/07/2025. Runs: 10/28/25 – 11/16/25. In Florida Rep’s Historic Arcade Theatre.
Note: The action is set in St. Nicholas Catholic Church and School. The Bronx. 1964.
FATHER BRENDAN FLYNN: Male. Late 30s. He is working class, from the Northeast.
SISTER ALOYSIUS BEAUVIER: Female. She is in her fifties or sixties. She is watchful, reserved, unsentimental. She is of the order of the Sisters of Charity. She wears a black bonnet and floor-length black habit, rimless glasses.
SISTER JAMES: Female. 20s.Also of the Sisters of Charity, pokes her head in. There’s a bit of sunshine in her heart, though she’s reserved as well.
MRS. MULLER: Female. A black woman of about thirty-eight, in her Sunday best, dressed for church.

LOUISE SEGER: [CAST] Female. Aged 40-60. Mom of two kids. Fierce, outgoing, warm, and sharp sense of humor and comedy. Big personality. A Texas housewife and fan of Patsy Cline.

MORRIE SCHWARTZ: Male 70. Mitch’s former college professor, recently diagnosed with ALS. Despite the terminal nature of his condition, he insists on living out each day to its fullest instead of just dying quietly.
MITCH ALBOM: Male 30s-40s A sportswriter and graduate of Brandeis University. While he always wanted to be a jazz musician, Mitch instead leads the fast-paced life of a sports journalist, enjoying the success and adventure of being very good at what he does.

SEYMOUR KRELBORN: Male. 20s-30s. An insecure, put-upon florist’s clerk and eventual hero. He is a genuine, well-meaning man who is taken for granted because of his clumsy ways and poor social skills. Vocal range: A2-G4.
AUDREY: Female 20s-30s. Bleached-blond, Billie-Dawn-like, secret love of Seymour’s life. She has poor self-worth and education, but incredibly good looks and a sweet and vulnerable demeanor. Age: 25 to 35 Vocal range: G#3-D5.
MUSHNIK: Male 50s-60s.The frustrated owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour’s nosy boss. He is profit-driven, greedy, and manipulative. Vocal range: G2-F4.
ORIN SCRIVELLO: Male 30s-40s. An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey’s abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour. Vocal range: G2-G4.
VOICE OF THE PLANT: Male sounding voice. An actor/vocalist located offstage. The voice is that of a conniving, street-smart ‘villain.’ A funky Rhythm and Blues voice is best. Vocal range: G2-G4.
RONNETTE, CRYSTAL, and CHIFFON: Female 20s-30s.Black street urchins, acting as the occasional Greek Chorus. Young, hip, and smart, these girls are the only ones who have a grip on reality. Vocal range Ab3-F5.
