Shavon Chester is a native Floridian, born and raised in Fort Myers. She studied health services administration at Florida International University in Miami, and then returned to Fort Myers to apply her passion and energy serving in her home community of Southwest Florida.  Ms. Chester has dedicated her career to long-term care and currently serves as the Health Services Liaison for “Cypress at Home” the companion suite of services for Cypress Living, the parent company of Cypress Cove.

Ms. Chester has an expansive history of civic involvement including serving on the board of directors for CAMEO of Lee County, the Dr. Piper Senior Center for Social Services, the McGregor Clinic and FHCA District XVI. She is a past president of the Junior League of Fort Myers and serves on the LARC Advisory Council, Kids Minds Matter Committee, and the WGCU Outreach Committee. Ms. Chester is also a founding member of the Ronald McDonald House Red Shoe Society, and a past member of the Lee County Black History Society and Dunbar Festival Committee. Chester was recognized by Gulfshore Business “40 under 40” for outstanding service to the SWFL community in 2020.

In her spare time, Shavon enjoys listening to NPR podcasts and (pre-pandemic) being outdoors with friends and family, and spending time with her Godchildren: CJ, Clara and Holly.
