Naomi Bloom

Vice Chair

During her half-century career, Naomi Bloom became the leading independent voice, business strategy advisor, platform architect, market influencer, blogger, and global speaker about enterprise class human resource management software. After two decades of both corporate and consultancy experience, she established her own consultancy, Bloom & Wallace, in 1987, with the goal of changing globally the software foundations upon which HR management is conducted, work for which she was honored many times by her industry. When Naomi and her late husband, Ron Wallace (who lent his name to her consulting firm), moved to Fort Myers in 1999, Ron retired from NASA, where he had been the mission manager for Search and Rescue, and they began their deep philanthropic commitment to southwest Florida. Since Ron’s passing in June, 2020, Naomi has continued and expanded their philanthropic and community involvement. In addition to Naomi’s having spent seventeen years on the Rep’s Board, with more than a dozen of those as the Board vice-chairman, and Ron’s and Naomi’s annual sponsorship of a Rep production, in 2023, the Florida Rep’s completely renovated courtyard, a project for which Naomi provided substantial funding, was renamed “Space to Bloom” and dedicated in Ron’s memory. Naomi also provides financial support and advice to several other local arts and cultural organizations, e.g. the Lee County Alliance for the Arts, WGCU, the Collaboratory (formerly Southwest Florida Community Foundation), the Jewish Federation of Lee and Charlotte Counties, and Temple Judea, of which she has been a member for two decades. In 2021, Naomi was elected as a Grande Dame by the PACE Center For Girls, and she was honored in 2022 by Hadassah for her philanthropic leadership. Another project which is nearing completion is the Bloom & Wallace Digital Arts Lab, which will be housed at the Alliance for the Arts and be a much-needed resource for the entire community. Fully retired since 2018, and beyond her philanthropy and community involvement, Naomi is an art and ceramics collector, a lover of theater, an avid world traveler, and dedicated to her global circles of friends and family.
