His scene and/or lighting designs have been seen at the Folger Shakespeare DC, Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, Florida Stage, Phoenix Theatre, Arkansas Rep, Charlotte Rep, Playhouse on the Square in Memphis, Florida Studio Theatre, The Lost Colony in NC, LaMaMa NYC, Drury Lane Chicago, Theatre Virginia, Arizona Broadway Theatre, Veggie Tales Live National Tour, and with the modern dance company Wall Street Danceworks. Jim is a member of the national designer’s union, United Scenic Artists, Local 829, in scene and lighting design. He serves as Chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of South Carolina. Jim is currently the President of the National Association of Schools of Theatre.
