Get ready for love to bloom at the Florida Repertory Theatre. Steven Dietz’s timeless Dublin-based play, “Bloomsday,” is now playing at the Artstage Studio Theatre.

The cast of the performance — Duke Lafoon, Lynn Hawley, Braydie Aldrich and Jessica Mosher — joined Gulf Coast News to break down this story of love lost and then love revisited decades later.

The story takes place during Dublin’s annual Bloomsday celebration and follows a middle-aged American academic, Robert, who returns to Ireland to reunite with the woman, Caithleen, who captured his heart 35 years prior. Dancing backward through time, Robert and Caithleen retrace their steps and discover their younger selves.

“Bloomsday” runs from Jan. 28 to March 2. Tickets start at $67 and can be purchased online at floridarep.org or by calling the box office at 239-332-4488.
