Florida Repertory Theatre seeks an experienced Finance Director who will be hands-on to ensure the smooth operation of all business activities. The portfolio of responsibilities includes daily accounting, assisting the theatre’s personnel services company in human resource management, monitoring vendor and union contracts, preparing budgets, generating financial statements, maintaining licenses, coordinating audits, and marshaling resources in collaboration with the Artistic and Executive Directors and department heads.
Florida Rep is the premier professional theatre in Southwest Florida entering its 22nd season. Florida Rep produces nine main stage and three studio dramas, comedies and musicals of wide variety over an eight-month season. In addition, Florida Rep’s Outreach & Education force encompasses children’s touring theatre as part of an expansive Theatre for Young Audiences, a Young Actors’ Conservatory for the most gifted aspirants, and classes and residencies across a five-county area of Southwest Florida and beyond. Yearly, Florida Rep hosts nearly 100,000 program participants and patrons. The annual budget approaches $4.5 million. As of June 24, 2019, Florida Rep owns its theatre facilities and adjourning parking lot encompassing a two-block area in the heart of Fort Myers historic River District.
The ideal candidate will have 5-plus years of management experience, with at least three years in finance and administration. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in the performing arts. Bachelor degree or equivalent experience is required.
