Development Associate
Development Associate Position Job Posting:
Florida Repertory Theatre is seeking a hands-on, experienced Development Associate to help organize, administrate, and execute important fundraising events, manage and fulfill sponsor agreements, organize regular direct response mail/e-mail donor appeals, and manage our donor database including donor receipting, correspondence and reports, and assist in grant cultivation and writing.
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Associate will work closely with donors, sponsors, and patrons as well as Florida Repertory Theatre colleagues in the development, marketing, and membership teams.
Major Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning
•Work as a member of the development team to execute a comprehensive development plan with measurable goals and outcomes, consistent with the financial needs of Florida Repertory Theatre.
Special Events
•Plan and execute fundraising events including the annual Donor Appreciation Dinner and the annual Florida Repertory Theatre Gala, and other events as appropriate.
Sponsor Fulfillment
•Work closely with corporate sponsors to fulfill agreements and requests for tickets, branding, and special events.
Grants
•Assist in researching new grant sources and writing grants.
Relationship Management
•Working with Florida Repertory Theatre staff, ensure that donor and patron records are maintained accurately.
•Utilize the Theatre Manage system to maximize its CRM capabilities.
•Develop and write donor acknowledgments, donor recognition, and cultivation materials.
Qualifications and Attributes
•A passion for the mission and work of Florida Repertory Theatre.•A proven track record in managing fundraising events is a MUST, preferably with specific experience in Arts and Culture.•Excellent administrative skills including experience with Donor Management Programs, CRM systems, Adobe, and Microsoft Office.•The ability to work effectively and collegially with other Florida Repertory Theatre staff, Board members, patrons, and supporters.

•Excellent writing skills.
•Superb interpersonal skills and the ability to interact discretely and appropriately with donors, professional artists and other industry professionals as appropriate.
•The appropriate candidate will be diligent, tireless, passionate about the cause, and able to build and articulate a compelling case for support to a diverse group of donors and prospects.
•A college degree in a relevant field is required and significant experience in each area of responsibility is requested.
