This fast-paced play is a collage of scenes from the lives of Elizabeth Blackwell and Marie Curie. Blackwell was the first woman in the United States to become a doctor with a medical degree, and Curie won two Nobel prizes for her work in physics and chemistry. Ms. Courageous explores the difficulties and challenges these two remarkable women faced and overcame. These women, with a passion for achievement and learning, helped make possible today's scientific community where discovery knows no gender. This story, filled with struggles and triumphs, will inspire young people everywhere.
