With Season 13, Florida Rep is Luckier than Ever.

Celebrating 13 years of Award-Winning Regional Theatre, Florida Repertory Theatre is a fully professional theatre company located in the heart of the Fort Myers River District that produces a wide variety of comedies, dramas and musicals, bringing more than 70,000 people to the River District annually throughout its October to May season. Performing in the Historic Arcade Theatre, Florida Rep is the only theatre company of its caliber in Southwest Florida, and was recently praised nationally by The Wall Street Journal with reviews of its January 2009 production of Dancing at Lughnasa and You Can’t Take It With You in February of 2010, saying that Florida Rep’s work “Sets the bar high.” In December 2009, the Journal’s acclaimed drama critic, Terry Teachout, counted Florida Rep among only a handful of theatre’s on Broadway and across the country as the Best of 2009. In his review of that production, he called Florida Rep’s work “Profoundly Satisfying,” and told America to “Make haste to Fort Myers, where the weather is warm and the theater fine!”
